In Bangladesh, Open-End Mutual Fund and Close-End Mutual Fund are most in common.

In the case of an open-end mutual fund, investors buy and sell units at net asset value (NAV) from the asset manager whereas close-end mutual fund are traded in the secondary market and the lifetime of the fund is fixed. The company carries out business as Issue Manager, Underwriter and Portfolio Manager. As of 24 August, 2017, Maslin Capital entered into MoU with MTB Capital.
